Nail trimming, ear cleaning, and hygiene maintenance
How to manage different dog temperaments and behaviour in the salon
Basic salon setup, tool care, and hygiene standards

You’ll work on real dogs under the guidance of experienced instructors, with a focus on practical, real-world skills. By the end of the course, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge and technique to groom dogs safely and to a professional standard.

Course Inclusions

Online Theory Component - Students complete an online learning component before attending their course. This component includes a variety of lectures, modules, and quizzes designed to prepare your mind for hands-on learning at the school. The online component must be completed prior to attending the practical sessions.

Practical Learning - After completing the online learning component, you will attend 6 days of hands-on training at our facility in Tullamarine with our experienced industry trainers. Throughout the course, you will work on a variety of breeds and coat types, learning foundational grooming skills and techniques that build on each previous day. Each day, you'll have your own dog to work on from start to finish, with no sharing required. Our supportive learning environment ensures you build confidence in your grooming abilities.
Tools & Equipment - We provide all grooming tools and equipment throughout the course with no hidden costs. Students will be given their own set of grooming tools to use each day, ensuring a consistent experience throughout the training.
Learning Resources & Certificates - We provide comprehensive study materials, including training manuals with step-by-step processes and diagrams, which are yours to keep upon course completion.
Continued Support - For further development, we offer continuation courses designed to build on your skills. You can find more information about these options in the 'Master Classes' section.
